Dates: October 25-28, 2023
Location: County Hall, London, United Kingdom
We are delighted to announce our first-ever 'Corporate Day' on Wednesday, October 25th. The occasion will showcase Sponsored Symposia, Lectures by distinguished authors of the Lancet Commission, and a Book Launch for Sickle Cell Disease in Sub-Saharan Africa!
Meet the Expert
These sessions are designed to facilitate a more intimate conversation with a leader in the industry on a topic of interest. There will be five separate sessions held concurrently with breakfast, each lasting one hour, with a maximum of 30 attendees per session. Additional information regarding the topics of the sessions will be provided closer to the conference date.
Charity Gala Dinner
The Charity Gala Dinner was introduced for the first time at the previous conference and was received with great enthusiasm. The success of the event has encouraged us to make it a regular feature at the conference. The Dinner event offers a stunning view of The Houses of Parliament, Big Ben and the London Eye, providing the perfect opportunity to relax and interact with peers in an intimate setting while raising funds for charity.
The ASCAT Steering Committee and its partners extend their greetings to you!
We are thrilled to invite you to this year's Annual Scientific ASCAT Conference, which is jointly organized with the European Hematology Association (EHA) and the British Society of Haematology (BSH), and supported by Eurobloodnet (EBN) and other patient groups.
The conference will be held at the historic County Hall London, located opposite the Houses of Parliament and 'Big Ben', and will provide ample space for academic presentations and networking.
The theme of this year's meeting is to recognize the changing landscape of the management of Haemoglobinopathies. We are fully aware that these new developments bring with them complex issues in decision-making for patients and their families, as well as the challenge of access to therapies. Therefore, it is necessary to provide a platform for service providers, service users, and policy-makers to engage in honest discussion and develop strategies for efficient and effective interventions across the world. Our constituency is every patient everywhere, and we aim to improve outcomes and increase access in all circumstances.
This year, we are introducing new initiatives in addition to our quality-filled program. We will be hosting our first-ever Corporate Day on Wednesday, October 25th, which will include Sponsored Symposia, Lectures featuring key authors of the Lancet Commission, and a Sickle Cell Disease in Sub-Saharan Africa Book Launch!
Our three-day conference from Thursday, October 26th to Saturday, October 28th, will include Abstracts and Poster Presentations, Meet the Expert Sessions, Patients Forum, Debate Sessions, and Plenary Sessions on topics such as Newborn Screening, End Organ Complications in Haemoglobinisation, Psychosocial and Counselling in Care.
The Charity Ball, which was a great success in the past and raised funds for excellent causes, will be taking place again this year by popular demand!
We look forward to seeing you at ASCAT 2023!
